Edmond Hyka was born on 21.06.1966 in Durrës. He graduated from the University of Tirana in the Faculty of Political and Legal Sciences, law branch, in 1983. From December 1983 to December 1993, he worked as an investigator at the investigators of Fier-Tirana-Durrës districts. On January 1, 1993, he was appointed head of the Durrës judicial district prosecutor’s office until February 1996. From 1996 to 1999, he was appointed prosecutor at the Durrës Judicial district prosecutor’s office. From 2000 to 2005, he worked as a lawyer. In May 2005, he was appointed prosecutor at the Durrës Appeals Prosecutor’s Office and from July 2006 to April 2022 he worked as a prosecutor at the Tirana Appeals Prosecutor’s Office.

In 2011, he graduated from Justiniani I University with a second-level master’s degree in Criminal Law.
